During the summer and half terms, we run tennis camps at Bellingham Tennis Club.
Camps are on every day, 9 am - 3pm, with a free drop off from 8:30am.
The camps are a great opportunity for players to practise their shots and take part in fun challenges throughout the day. It's also great for children looking to try something new and to keep them active in the school holidays so it is not just for children who already play tennis, it is perfect for complete beginners too.

We also do other fun sports like hockey, football, cricket and so on, also do nerf, laser tag, zorbing to break up the day.

We are OFSTED registered so we can accept childcare vouchers too.
We regular run tournaments, so that all the children on the coaching program can put into action what they have been working on during the lessons. These tournaments help the children to test themselves and are good  way to measure their progress against players of similar ability. We try to make these tournaments fun by providing spot prizes and encourage players to support each other and cheer each other on.

Teddy Tennis inspires children aged 2 to 6+ years to get active and to learn to play Teddy Tennis.  It works by combining music, pictures and teddy bear characters into a totally interactive learning adventure that young children love.

In the Tiny Teddies class children develop their fine motor skills eg. throwing, catching and racket skills. They learn the fundamentals of tennis sending and receiving.

Dany Bear Team is also working on their fine motor skills as well as adding more agility, balance and coordination skills while improving the different shots in tennis.

Amanda Panda Team is perfecting each shot in tennis and just working on their technique and moving to the ball on the tennis court.

Head Ted similar to Amanda Team working on movement around the court, learning serving and understanding the aim of tennis and how to win a point so they can start playing matches.

What makes Teddy Tennis so appealing for children is our Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning style,

Visual Learning

It involves the use of seen or observed things, including pictures, demonstrations and videos. Every Teddy Tennis lesson uses inspiration pictures of teddy bear characters playing Teddy Tennis…. and of course every Teddy Tennis coach demonstrates how things should be done correctly.

Auditory Learning

It involves the transfer of information through listening: to the spoken word, and of music and sounds. Every Teddy Tennis lesson involves music that was specifically written by Teddy Tennis and provides the correct rhythm and timing for doing each game or exercise; the words of the music tell the children what to do.

Kinesthetic Learning

It involves physical participation – doing, practical hands on experiences, and taking part in coordinated movement, racket and hand to eye skills. Every Teddy Tennis lesson is fully interactive and involves having a lot of FUN.
